Your logo design is just one note in an overall score. Consider your use of colour. Get to know your fonts. Develop a tone of voice. Spend time with your imagery. The blending of these components defines the whole. You are the conductor.
There are as many ways to combine the elements of your identity as there are ways to arrange musical notes. The subtleties of a delicate typeface (violin!) and the arresting power of florescent ink (trumpets—with cymbals!) can be mixed enticingly.
Make your visual noises pleasurable and memorable. Yes, sometimes you need to use a car horn. But the smiling notes of a bicycle bell can do the job too.
